| Description: | GL Garrad Hassan (GL GH) is the world�s largest independent technical and engineering consultancy for renewable energy, serving the onshore and offshore wind, wave, tidal and solar sectors. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for undertaking multi-criteria spatial analysis and produce thematic maps in the GIS Department of GL Garrad Hassan. GLGH is looking for a dynamic and rigorous individual that will be able to contribute to the company's studies through well thought-out mapping products, as well as assist with gathering environmental data.
Candidate must be a resident of Ontario as per Ontario Income tax Act definition

| Duties: | ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Research, inventory, analysis and integration of GIS data;
� Undertake multi-criteria spatial analysis;
� Produce thematic maps;
� Occasional assistance with research and reporting for environmental mandates, such as environmental impact studies, site evaluation studies;
� Occasional site visits. |
| Qualifications: | TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge/experience with:
� Knowledge of basic GIS concepts (mapping, GPS, GIS, data integration, coordinate systems...);
� Thorough knowledge of ArcGIS software;
� Competency in programming (Python language is an asset).
FUNDAMENTAL QUALIFICATIONS:
� Attention to detail;
� Excellent written and spoken English, written and spoken French an asset;
� Teamwork.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
� University degree in Geomatics Engineering, Geomatics Sciences, Geographic information systems or Environmental geomatics;
� At least 1 to 2 years GIS work experience.
This position is based in the GL Garrad Hassan North America Ottawa office and requires the willingness and availability to travel up to 5% of time for periods of a week or more at a time.
